4 month stats

Here are Haley's measurements at 4 months:
weight: 13 lbs. exactly (40th percentile)
height: 26 1/4" (98th percentile!).
So pants are floods on her but fall off her waist, I sort of wish I could borrow that problem from her for a while.

All Smiles

Big thanks to Ava Vincent for letting Haley borrow her Johnny Jump-Up; she's really liking it even though she might be just a little bit small for it. She's not talking in the video but she's got some big smiles that will hopefully suffice until we can get some talking on camera. Haley is a very vocal kid, except when the camera comes out, then she clams up and just stares, so it's a bit difficult to get it done (maybe Mr. Smiley, aka Baby Sterling Fillmore, can give her some tips).
The second best part of this video is my great enunciation of the word "photo."

Have you seen this?

You've probably seen this before (it's like one of the most watched on YouTube right now) but I love it. I've loved Jon Schmidt since my EFY days and I'm a total Taylor Swift fan (that's right, don't comment) so it's the best of both worlds. It makes me want to squeeze a piano into our little place here, I miss it!!

Firsts

So we were a bit out of commission for a little while because the power cord to Wes' computer, where we store all of the pictures, basically burned itself out (literally went up in smoke) so now that we're back, here is a little catch up.

For Mother's Day Wes got me a Swiffer! This may not be too exciting for anyone else, but I HATE mopping the floors and we had to leave our old one in VA because we didn't have room for it, so I was pretty pleased to see that little ditty by my bed in the morning.

The best part of the day though was this great video that Wes made documenting my "mother" experiences so far. I'm posting it because I think it's great although I am well aware that there are more than a few unflattering pictures of me, but I'll get over it as long as everyone remembers I was way preggo. He's a sweet and thoughtful husband, he put it to a song that reminded me of our little "baby journey" when I first heard it, what a doll.

Haley also laughed for the first time on Mother's Day, I don't have a video but I have witnesses. That was one of the best gifts ever.

She also rolled over for the first time last week! That one I do have on video but it's on our video camera and I don't know how to get it off so until then, that's where it will stay and maybe we'll try to get her to do it again.

She also got her first cold, see picture.

She also just continued to look really really cute, see picture.

This is just because I think it's a little funny. Haley still gets swaddled when she sleeps and it's been pretty hot here in TX and being the thrifty kids that we are, we like to work off of fans as much as possible. Here is our attempt at the benefits of the swaddle without being covered in a blanket. Kind of does the trick even if it does look like a punishment.

Have you ever..

...been really proud of yourself because you've almost finished all the laundry and cleaned the whole house, only to realize that you must have picked up the dirty clothes a little too quickly.  Can you pick out the freshly washed dirty diaper in the pile of clothes?

Blame it on the teeth

Chomping on the pacifier? She's probably teething. Drooling Buckets? She's probably teething. Cranky? Definitely teething.
I figure I have until at least age 2 to use the excuse, "she's not usually like this, she must be teething."

No, she hasn't gotten any teeth and I don't really think it looks like they're coming in, but she does drool massive amounts, soaking everything in sight.

Photo Shoot

We got some pictures taken of our family on Saturday by a great photographer and I couldn't wait to share a couple.  We have more than 200 so this is just a small bit.  Kind of sad that Haley isn't smiling in ANY of the 200 (when the camera comes out she just stops and stares) but they're still super cute.

Look and compare

I know that Haley is only 3 1/2 months old and to most of you that will seem very small.  But look at this comparison, she used to get swaddled up in this blanket and it was big enough to wrap her feet in almost go all the way around a second time, now it barely works!  I'm a little sad, time goes too fast.

Hands in the Face, I Wonder Where She Gets It???

Many of you have seen pictures of Haley sleeping adorably with her hands in her face, much like this...

If any of you were wondering where she got it from here you go!

I love my girls!!!
